The good news is that L'Evangile has produced a sensational 2006 vintage; the bad news is that in search of extraordinarily high quality, quantity is down by around 20% on the previous year. Scents and flavours display a wealth of exuberant freshness with a thrilling emphasis on spiced black fruits. Smooth-coated tannins bring concentration adding a complexity found only in the finest Pomerols of the vintage. Very long and exotic.
