2006 Château Langoa-Barton, Cru Classé St-Julien

2006 Château Langoa-Barton, Cru Classé St-Julien

Deep in the glass with a youthful crimson rim. The aromas are more open here than with Léoville, expressing curranty fruit and toast. The palate is well-balanced, with ample, rich fruit capturing notes of a forest nature and a fine, yet assertive tannic frame. Once more, as is so often the case in this vintage, there is a welcome freshness and mid-palate lift that adds considerable appeal. Showing a good persistence on the finish, 2006 marks another fine vintage for this property.
