Intense in appearance, with pure black fruit and notes of toast on the nose. The palate shows pleasing ripeness and good volume, a mid-weight style, with gentle tannins and again an appealing, fresh, supple accent. There is a glossy texture to Poujeaux this vintage. Very elegant and refined for its level.
