It is impossible not to be impressed by the form of Léoville-Barton. This is a big, masculine wine which carries its weight well like an agile heavyweight. A saint-julien with staggering complexity and intensity of pure, ripe fruits. Fine grained tannins create a framework yet the texture has a cushioned feel to it. Wonderful flavours build in the mouth and the finish goes on and on. No surprises - a brilliant Léoville-Barton.
