This large (89 hectare) vineyard is located in the northern reaches of the st-estèphe commune and overlooks the Gironde. The 2004 vintage is deep purple in appearance with a profound scent of black stone-fruits. A st-estèphe with rich, punchy fruit and delightful freshness of flavour. Harmonious. Tasted after a run of seriously good crus classés, Phélan rose to the challenge admirably.
