2004 Château Haut-Bailly, Cru Classé Pessac-Léognan

2004 marks a bolder style than previously at Haut-Bailly and certainly a more assertive wine than we have witnessed in recent years. The wet stone and mineral notes of textbook pessac-léognan are present, so too a fresh nature that bodes well for the future. Fruity with a touch of spice and a light coating of oak. Should follow the path of very successful vintages for this well-run property.
