The quality of the wines from Château Haut Bergey have steadily improved since the acquisition of the estate by Sylviane Garcin-Cathaird in the 1990s; it's fast become one of our favourite properties in Pessac-Léognan for value and drinkability. This 2002 is smoky and complex, with savoury cedar notes, and a core of dark fruit. Even after two decades, there remains a freshness and vibrancy that makes the wine a delight to drink.
