We singled this wine out for particular attention when released en primeur in June 2003. It marked a return to a more fleshier style of Pichon, with no loss of structure but a marked succulence. Though Cabernet only accounts for just over 50% of this blend, the cassis characters of the variety are easily recognisable. Already showing some complexity with woodsmoke, almost liquorice notes and a distinctive mineral quality. Very fine indeed.
