Always darker than the Gallina, this is slightly brooding, with bigger tannins and a bit more spice and tar character. Needs time, but will be stunning.

A tiny production white, made from 30+ year old Chardonnay from the Pira Vineyard, alongside a little white Nebbiolo. It's a textured, generous white that will surely age very well indeed.

Made from Timorasso, that comes from Derthona, to the north-east of the Langhe, this is stony, mineral, and downright delicious. An outstanding white from Luca.

From one of the most famous sites in Neive, this shows the classic character of the commune. It's a fragrant, perfumed Nebbiolo, where you really feel the freshness.

A wild and complex nose, with loads of citrus lift and an amaro character too: there's always something of a negroni element to this. It's fine boned and very, very long.

The largest parcel owned by the Roagna family, in front of the winery in Castiglione Faletto, the vines for this wine are between 25 and 50 years old. It shows its position in the middle of the Barolo zone beautifully, with talc-like tannins from Serralunga, and exotic fruit from the Barolo side. Stunning - this gets better and better, and this must be the best yet.
