Christian Moueix is one of Bordeaux’s most famous names, where he and his son Edouard run a prominent negociant business in Libourne and own several of the Right Bank’s top names, most notable Lafleur-Petrus. However, with a love for Napa Valley wines dating back to his time at university in California in the 1960s, he sought land there, and gained a stake in the historic Napanook vineyard before buying it outright in 1995. Christian soon renamed the 124 acres “Dominus”, after its Grand Vin, and has continued to build it as they introduced a second wine, Napanook, and third wine, Othello.
