Domaine Hudelot-Noëllat

Charles van Canneyt is regarded as one of the leading winemakers in the Côte de Nuits. He is privileged to hold some of the finest terroirs across Nuits-St-Georges, Vosne-Romanée and Chambolle-Musigny including the grands crus of Romanée St-Vivant, Richebourg and Clos de Vougeot. Charles took over the estate from his grandparents, Alain Hudelot and Odile Noëllat, in 2008 and has been pushing the quality limits ever since. His wines epitomise Pinot Noir; they are refined, elegant, silky and balanced. He hasn't made any dramatic changes since his inauguration, preferring to let his style evolve gradually. He has updated the winery and his vineyards have been organically managed since 2019. In the winery, his practice of destemming and sensitive use of oak allows the individual vineyard nuances to shine through. He not only holds an impressive collection of grands crus and premier crus vineyards, but his village wines offer a high quality introduction to his superb range of Burgundy.
