Colli di Catone
Just a few miles to the southeast of Rome, Colli di Catone was founded in 1974 to seize the
potential for making fine wines in Frascati, the area that supplied the eternal city for over 2,000
years, but where quality had dipped in the second half of the 20th century. Antonio Pulcini
grows Malvasia del Lazio, the finest white grape in the appellation, in only the best hillside sites.
The wines are then left to slumber in the cellar before release many years, if not decades, later,
making them truly unique wine in Italy, and indeed the world.
