Chardonnay & Pinot Noir

A collaboration between Emma and JC Martin, this single-site vineyard wine represents the intimate, family-driven approach that defines Creation. Emma made her first wine when she was 10 years old under the guidance of her father in 2012, and "wowed the wine world" with her debut vintage at age 11. This is a small production wine with notes of rose petal, wild cherry and black tea. A wine of drama and presence with layers of detail.

Single-site specific and barrel selected. Utterly enchanting with complex velvety texture, spice and perfume. This is Pinot Noir at its most charming. There is a tension to the wine with accents of sandalwood and white pepper while the finish is long, saline and focused.

Glenn Martin, the 4th generation winemaker in both family's traditions, works alongside his father JC on this brilliant Chardonnay, crafted from the same block as The Art but entirely wild yeast fermented. A savoury, complex wine that represents the next generation of Creation's winemaking excellence. There are notes of acacia and orange peel with a fine flinty note, white flowers and a crystalline energy.

Single-site specific and barrel selected, this wine offers steely tension yet elegant refinement. Seams of quartz sparkle in this particular vineyard, creating mineral complexity that develops beautifully with age. There are notes of toast, some stone fruits and a very saline core to the wine. A brilliant Burgundy-styled Chardonnay.

Single-vineyard selection showcasing vibrant grapefruit and fragrant apple with honey and cinnamon hints. A complex, site-specific Chardonnay that delviers heaps of complexity at a fraction of the price of many other esteemed regions.

Made from a single hectare block and raised in around two third new oak, this is an intense and focused style of Chardonnay that shows real confidence in the glass. Notes of acacia, roasted hazelnut, ripe apricot and a little miso complexity counterbalance the bright line of acidity running through the wine. This will only improve with a few more years in bottle.

The Reserve Chardonnay from Sam O'Keefe has quickly gained a reputation as one of the Cape's standout wines and for good reason. Produced from dry farmed vines and steep slopes, the 2024 Reserve Chardonnay uses around 30% new wood. Opening with superb aromatics of acacia, tangerine, white grapefruit and a hint of sandalwood, this is a wine that will give top Burgundy a run for the money. Crystalline, tense and vibrant, it is a wine with layers of complexity on the finish.

From a cooler, south-facing slope the Southend Chardonnay this year is matured in around 10% new oak which adds subtle toasty complexity. Bright yellow fruit, a little sourdough crumb and crystalline freshness are the name of the game with this wine.

The oldest plot on the farm which is on a north-facing site on clay rich soils that's entirely planted with the 113 clone. This is a wine of drama and tension, using around 20% whole bunches this year. Notes of aniseed, white pepper and violets add layers of complexity to the finely-tuned dark cherry fruit. There is a sapidity and freshness running through the wine, which feels sculpted and intricately carved on the palate. Extremely fine and a standout success this year.

The 2024 vintage seems to be a particularly strong vintage for this wine, coming from a 2.5 hectare vineyard at the top of the slope, Windansea has a majestic view to the sea. The shallow dense clay of the soil always lends the wine more density - there is a compact and intense feel to the wine this year. Notes of dark cherry fruit, five spice, and warm rocks lift from the glass. There is a silky, seamless feel to the tannins with a sense of drama and density on the palate. This will age gracefully.

Perfumed, silky and dark cherry fruited this is a Pinot of poise and real intensity. From four vineyard sites, it some flickers of floral aromas with violets and peony mingling with a little black pepper spice. Fine-grained, sculpted tannins frame the dark berry fruit with a little liqorice root and five spice on the finish.

A tense and vibrant white this year from three different vineyard sites on the farm - it paints a picture of the geological complexity and varying expositions of site on the estate. There are notes of white peach, a little creaminess, and flecks of sea spray. Bright and coiled it is a wine of impressive focus.

Extremely well defined and driven style of Chardonnay that is crystalline, building through the palate in intensity. A breath of citrus zest, white flowers, and apple blossom unfurl with air, there are layers of complexity from the floral to the mineral. So complete, this is a wine that really stands out this year.

The aromatics stand out on this wine, with finely detailed notes of wilted rose, cardamon, incense and blood orange. There is a silky, satin-like texture to the tannins with form a fine web around the core of bright red berry fruit. A wine of detail and finesse that stands out for its layers of complexity.

A broader, creamy style of Chardonnay that shows plenty of intensity on the palate. Notes of hazelnut, sourdough crumb and acacia build around a core of bright stone fruit. There is a zesty streak of acidity running through the wine with a persistence saline finish.
