This, along with La Grande Montagne, is one of the most sought-after cuvées from this cellar, and produced in tiny quantities. The vineyard is found in the southern part of the village, right next to La Grande Montagne and La Romanée, though producing a wine totally distinct in character

This vineyard needs little introduction: it is widely held up as one of the finest in the village. The white pebbly limestone soils make for racy wines, with a lot in common with the best Puligny-Montrachets, but with the nutty, savoury twist of Chassagne.
