Northern Rhône 2020
We’ve long approached the wines of the Northern and Southern Rhône valleys as a pair, reflected in our annual release of the ‘Wines of the Rhône’. But on more recent reflection, we’ve decided to separate out these two distinct regions, equally deserving of the spotlight.
Here, we focus on the wines of North, with the release of the superlative 2020 vintage. With Syrahs that balance ripeness and freshness that will stand the test of time, and whites, made from Viognier, Marsanne, or Roussanne, that are among the most thrilling we’ve tasted, this is a release that’s worth getting excited about.
Find here the wines of seventeen of the region’s greatest producers, with a balance of historic names and young estates, from each of the Northern Rhône’s great appellations. Many of the wines are available in small quantities only: we encourage you to make your selection with haste.
