A selection of Germany’s highly acclaimed 2021 vintage

We have included some exciting new additions to the Lay & Wheeler range in this exceptional 2021 vintage. Top names in the Mosel of Joh Jos Prüm and Selbach Oster as well as young and dynamic winemaker Vincent Eymann from the Pfalz will be joining the long standing growers of Dönnhoff, Gunderloch and Dr Loosen. After offering a small parcel of Egon Müller 2020 Scharzhof QBA, we have a larger parcel of his wines for the stunning 2021 vintage. The 2021s are notably delicious and are destined to be very long-lived, if you aren’t tempted to open them in their youth.

The Pinot Noir is coming from grapes around the village of Gonnheim. The wine offers incredible value for money with hand harvested fruit from biodynamic and organically sourced vineyards. Pale in colour with bright red berry perfume and crushed strawberry aromas. Touch of spice and violet on the palate with well integrated, fine grained tannins.
