Austrian Wine
A wine producing country that can sometimes go under the radar, Austria can produce age worthy whites that challenge the world’s very finest. Grüner Veltliner is the key grape variety here, with the best producers making complex white wines that deserve a place in any cellar, made from vines clinging to steep, sun-drenched slopes. Whilst less important than in Germany, Riesling also plays a role in Austria producing some of the country’s most sought after bottles.
