A little more Semillon in the blend compared to previous vintages, the 2022 Ygrec has a beautifully delineated bouquet of fennel, spiced peach, white grapefruit and jasmine. The palate is fresh and vibrant with more citrus and stone fruit flavours accented with salinity and bitter lemon. The finish is extremely long and mouthwatering.

Delivering everything you might hope for in a Bourgogne Chardonnay this has a fine backbone of salinity clothed in white citrus fruit, white peach and a lift honeysuckle and green pear. Pull the cork and enjoy!

A variety that is being increasingly popular with both growers and drinkers alike, there is a freshness and vibrancy in this wine which makes it quite irresistible. White grapefruit, verbena, and ocean spray deliver on the palate with real purity and focus.

Like Clos Baulet, this also once used to be part of the Lambrays domaine, and 2022 saw its return after a generation of separate ownership. It is more focused and serious than the ethereal Baulet, and shows excellent potential. The tannins feel powerful yet controlled, altogether resulting in a complete and satisfying wine.

The 2023 Morey-Saint-Denis Village comes from two parcels at the top of the slope. The wine opens with a beautifully attractive nose of red berry fruit with a little liquorice root and violet petal. There is an immediate charm here but clearly the intensity to age gracefully over the coming years.

This comes from 0.7 hectares of Premiers Crus across the village: La Riotte, Les Sorbès, and Le Village. The gentle handling in the cellar draws out the finest qualities of the fruit here: tight red berry fruit, with a fine silky texture to the tannins, and an elegant thread of acidity.

Jacques Devauge has settled in and is now really hitting his stride in this magnificent Clos des Lambrays. It has depth, dimension, texture, light and shade. Its many layers build in the palate. Jacques has achieved this nuanced character through vinifying each parcel separately.
