2024 Château Haut-Brion Blanc, Pessac-Léognan Dry | White | Still

A real success this vintage, it opens with subtle spice on the nose of ginger, jasmine, white peach and yellow plum. This is vibrant with a salinity and focus that builds, yet there is also breadth and texture across the palate. A fine touch of bitter lemon comes through on the finish. A great white from this estate.

2024 Château L'Eglise-Clinet, Pomerol Dry | Red | Still

A blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, this is such a beautiful and expressive Pomerol this year. It begins restrained with subtle notes of pepper, violets, incense so full of detail. It is a tense, saline and vibrant wine which is full of energy just with a fine, caressing texture. There are accents of oyster shell, kelp and soy around the ripe dark cherry fruit. A wine of purity and focus it numbers among the best wines made this vintage.

Château Pichon-Longueville Comtesse de Lalande
Château d'Yquem
2022 Y de Château d'Yquem, Bordeaux Dry | White | Still | 14%

A little more Semillon in the blend compared to previous vintages, the 2022 Ygrec has a beautifully delineated bouquet of fennel, spiced peach, white grapefruit and jasmine. The palate is fresh and vibrant with more citrus and stone fruit flavours accented with salinity and bitter lemon. The finish is extremely long and mouthwatering.

2023 Morey-St-Denis 1er Cru Clos Sorbè, Domaine des Lambrays Dry | Red | Still

Like Clos Baulet, this also once used to be part of the Lambrays domaine, and 2022 saw its return after a generation of separate ownership. It is more focused and serious than the ethereal Baulet, and shows excellent potential. The tannins feel powerful yet controlled, altogether resulting in a complete and satisfying wine.

2023 Morey-St-Denis, Domaine des Lambrays Dry | Red | Still

The 2023 Morey-Saint-Denis Village comes from two parcels at the top of the slope. The wine opens with a beautifully attractive nose of red berry fruit with a little liquorice root and violet petal. There is an immediate charm here but clearly the intensity to age gracefully over the coming years.

2023 Morey-St-Denis 1er Cru Les Loups, Domaine des Lambrays Dry | Red | Still

This comes from 0.7 hectares of Premiers Crus across the village: La Riotte, Les Sorbès, and Le Village. The gentle handling in the cellar draws out the finest qualities of the fruit here: tight red berry fruit, with a fine silky texture to the tannins, and an elegant thread of acidity.
