2023 Cornas, Les Vieilles Vignes, Alain Voge Dry | Red | Still | 13%

One of the flagship wines of the estate the Vieilles Vignes comes from vines of an average age of 60-70 years. It uses around 20% whole bunch fruit and around 10% new oak for ageing. It is a spicy and rather brooding wine with notes of warm rocks and deep subsuming bramble fruit. Yet there is freshness and vibrancy here that make the wine feel quite elegant and sculpted. Very fine and very characterful.
