A dinner with one of Bordeaux's oldest and most consistent producers
With a history dating back to the 15th Century, Château Talbot has stood as a favourite Bordeaux producer for centuries, with a particularly large following here in the UK. This isn't a huge surprise considering that the name of the estate comes from John Talbot, who was Earl of Shrewsbury until his death in 1453, and that the style of wine made at Talbot has been seen as consistently excellent for many years.
Owned by the Cordier family for over a century, the estate is overseen by Nancy Bignon-Cordier today, with renowned general manager Jean-Michel Laporte taking the wines from strength to strength - building upon the superb reputation they have of classic St Julien structure and generosity of fruit.
We are therefore delighted to be joined by Jean-Michel for a very special dinner to celebrate the Château, featuring a range of vintages directly from the estate's cellars, and featuring the famous Caillou Blanc - one of Bordeaux's great dry white wines, made since 1945. The dinner will take place in the Private Dining Room at Noble Rot Mayfair, where we will be hidden away for an exclusive evening of fine food, magnificent wine and convivial conversation.
