An evening with one of St-Julien’s most beloved properties
The wines of Chȃteau Branaire-Ducru have long been favourites here in the UK, offering everything that we’ve come to love from great St-Julien - perfume, complexity, charm and accessibility.
Since 1988, these quintessential wines have been overseen by the Maroteaux family, whose investment and attention to detail has elevated them to amongst the most consistently excellent in Bordeaux. Today Branaire-Ducru is run by François-Xavier Maroteaux, and we’re delighted that he will be in London in October to share some of the estate’s vintages over a superb dinner.
For the evening we will be returning to perennial favourite Medlar, one of the best restaurants for a winemaker dinner, and with a superb menu to match.
Branaire-Ducru is an estate unbeholden to fads or fashions, but that rather dazzles with its purity, elegance, and deliciousness every year. The opportunity to try a range of different vintages, with François-Xavier there himself, is not to be sniffed at.
