A special tasting with one of Pauillac’s most popular producers
Pauillac is home to some of the most celebrated and famous producers in Bordeaux, with three of the five First Growths found within its borders. And it’s also home to many châteaux that punch well above their classification level: some of the most beloved producers in Bordeaux.
Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste is one such property: a Fifth Growth estate which impresses year in, year out.
'GPL', as it is affectionately known, has been in the hands of the Borie family since the 1970s. So we’re delighted that current owner Emeline Borie is joining us on November 8th at Bonhams Auction house, to host a tasting of some magnificent vintages from recent decades. Emeline has generously delved deep into the estate’s private cellars, and we’ll have the chance to taste the 2015, 2009, 2005, 2003, 1996, 1990, and 1986 Grands Vins, as well as the 2015 Lacoste-Borie, the second wine here.
Bonhams is one of the world’s oldest auction houses, founded in 1793, and we’ll begin the evening with a glass of Champagne in the ground floor exhibition room, before descending into the gallery for what promises to be a memorable tasting.
As ever, places are limited and likely to sell out very quickly. The opportunity to try wines from some of these top vintages is a rare one, so we encourage you to secure your place as quickly as possible.
