After a period working with the Loire Valley’s Didier Dagueneau, South African Duncan Savage has produced his first vintage. This inspired wine is a remarkable Sauvignon Blanc produced in a complex, mineral style. Barrel fermented and with 30% Semillon in the blend, there is also something Bordeaux-like about the toasty-rich texture underneath and the mineral, grapefruit and tangerine pithy flavours. Utterly delicious.
