The Ürziger Würzgarten vineyard is vertiginous, planted on weathered red slate and forms an amphitheatre shape that makes it the perfect sun-trap. The resultant kabinett is exotic on the nose, with notes of candied peel and warm apricot. This fruit carries through onto the palate, where it is given some structure and frame by a taut minerality and acidity. The finish is long, pure and mouth-wateringly moreish.
