Les Galets takes its name form the presence of 'pudding stones' (Galets) which preserve vital moisture as well as reflecting heat, just as in nearby Châteauneuf-du-Pape. François Collard employes Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre and old-vine Carignan to produce a rich, fruity and spice-laden red.
