Dense in texture, a wine not lacking in substance, with expansive black fruit characters, a slight 'confiture' edge, liquorice too, and a mineral quality of a deep earthy nature. Much more mouthcoating and intense than the cuvée classique, a structural wine with huge potential for cellarage. Long and precise, with the inviting freshness that seems to lift the quality of the 2004 vintage.
