2010 St-Aubin 1er Cru Clos de la Chatenière, Hubert Lamy
50-year-old vines from this steep, south-facing vineyard have imparted both complexity and concentration. Ripe notes of juicy citrus abound on the nose, twinned with a more subtle smokiness. On the palate this is a tour de force of refinement, with a ripe core of fruit given structure and definition by elegant minerality and vibrant freshness. Powerful, yet reined-in, this is a wonderful St-Aubin.
