2015 Mazoyeres-Chambertin Grand Cru, Domaine Taupenot-Merme
Mazoyères is part of the Charmes vineyard, so this could go into Romain’s Charmes. But Romain bottles them separately, because he thinks the resulting wines are quite different. This shows the differences clearly: more opulent and exotic, with spicy intensity and mouth-filling power. If Charmes is all about balance, this is more showy.
