2014 Bourgogne Passetoutgrains 'L'Exception', Michel Lafarge

The most joyful red in the Lafarge range, in so far as it is the only one that won't need long term ageing to really start to sing - in fact it is already beguilingly pretty and forward, with juicy red fruit and a floral element, and just enough very fine-grained tannin to cope with food if you have to pair it with something - it would certainly give plenty of pleasure on its own!
