From two parcels in Rouges du Bas and Quartiers de Nuits there is an exoticism here not found in the other wines. Notes of lavender, wood smoke and blackberry lead to a sultry palate, refined by a mineral edge. Reminded me of great Pomerol, in a Pinot Noir kind of way!
