for Volnay and d’Angerville's wines display the seductive charm of the village's
wines at their most compelling. Located adjacent to the Pommard border, the
Frémiets vineyard produces wines that have a sturdier character than usually
seen in Volnay. In great years though, this is more than balanced by luxurious
fruit. D’Angerville's 2005 Frémiets is a beauty - a ripe, fruit-laden Pinot that
flows effortlessly from start to its long, lingering finish.
