Gazin's vineyards are superbly situated, adjacent to Pétrus. Interesting on the nose, with notes of woodsmoke, concentrated black fruit and grilled herbs. Mouthfilling, with almost sugar-coated tannins, intense blueberry fruit and a long, dark chocolate finish. Was excellent last year, but this is bigger-boned and should be better in time.Robert Parker: 94-96 points (Wine Advocate 188)
