2002 Château Angélus, 1er Grand Cru Classé St-Emilion

2002 Château Angélus, 1er Grand Cru Classé St-Emilion

Angélus is another right bank property that has benefited in 2002 from having a higher percentage of Cabernet in the vineyard than other properties. This has a sweet plum, damson and chocolate nose with toasty oak and spice. The palate is full-bodied with depth and big structure; more chocolate and super ripe plum notes are supported by firm grippy tannins and fresh acidity.
