From a vineyard planted in 1968 at the entrance to Adi’s property, this has lots of yellow fruit and an almost tropical note, but remains taut and mineral on the finish.
The Golden Slopes in question face east at 300 metres on clay and decomposed granite soils and retain water better than many vineyards in the Swartland. Concrete fermented and aged, this has fennel and chamomile aromas, lots of richness and concentration and flavours of stone fruit, yellow apple and citrus peel. Intense stuff. 2024-29
