2011 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Feusselottes, Georges Mugneret-Gibourg
Chambolle is often thought of as a more feminine appellation and, at the hands of the Mugneret-Gibourg sisters, this wine showed true elegance, yet with a brooding structure. Raspberries are enticing on the nose, leading to a palate of wild strawberries, sweetly spiced plums and a touch of dark chocolate on the finish. The incredibly fine tannins offer a considerable framework for this refined cuvée, with beautiful texture throughout.
