2009 Château Cheval-Blanc, 1er Grand Cru Classé (A) St-Emilion

2009 Château Cheval-Blanc, 1er Grand Cru Classé (A) St-Emilion

A concentrated fruit-driven nose of red berry fruits in their purest form, allied to a hint of menthol and cloves. Structurally this wine is the epitome of elegance, flowing and natural in style with dense, powerful, finely-grained tannins. Skilfully handled Merlot complemented by freshening Cabernet Franc has resulted in this incredibly graceful wine. The 100% new oak is undetectable as all components are so perfectly balanced. Truly wonderful.
