2018 Ao Yun, Shangri-La
A groundbreaking wine from the Himalayas, grown at between 2100 and 2600 metres on the mountainsides flanking the Mekong River. Vibrant purple in the glass with dark, brooding aromas on the nose. Full of cassis, kirsch and fresh berry fruit. Velvet texture with vanilla and toasty aromas. The tannins are fine and abundant, with cool, fresh acidity and a mineral finish.
