One of the more aromatic and floral ports in 2011, Dow's has a quite extraordinary nose, with notes of violet, black cherry, cassis and layers of chocolate and spice. It positively oozes class, with a fine texture and glorious fruit that just melts into sumptuous tannins,wrapped up in a pleasing alcoholic cuddle. One of the best balanced ports in 2011, assuring a long and hedonistic future. (Given 96-98 points by Neal Martin in the Wine Advocate)
