2011 Croft

This heavily scented Port has notes of bramble fruit and undergrowth, which combine to create an intense and heady aroma. There are herbs and spices here too, with delicate, lifted top notes of mint and balsam. On the palate, the texture is brilliantly soft and silky, where the tannins melt into the background but provide an important structural core. Long, mouth-filling and extremely impressive; this is unsurprisingly a real class-act in this vintage. (Given 92-95 points by Neal Martin in the Wine Advocate)
