Based on Cabernet Sauvignon, with 24% Syrah, the 2020 Anwilka is the finest iteration of this wine we’ve tasted in years. In 2020, it’s more refined (and Bordeaux inspired) than ever with plush dark fruit, grippy tannins, but more lift and freshness than we’ve previously seen. There’s plenty of complexity here, with liquorice and graphite, as well as a hint of black coffee. It’s a brilliant wine from a much-loved estate, and a must-buy for Cabernet lovers.
