Citrus and ripe cherries, and plenty of power and depth. Lovely grippy tannins, with plenty of structure, and finesse and drive on the palate. Really nice energy here, with plenty of texture, and a sense of understated power. Very long and fine, and delicacy on the finish. Iodine and citrus. Lovely length.

Tasting notes

Three vineyards are used to make this impressive Pinot Noir - Mrs M, Windansea and Seadragon, which shows the elegance of what Gordon Newton Johnson says was a very cool year in the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley. Elegant, bright and sumptuously perfumed, it has granular tannins, subtle wood and sweet raspberry and red cherry fruit.
