A blend of red and white Semillon, and a wine that spends time on the skins, this is oxidative and complex. There's notes of russet apples and tea, with an impressive finish. A wine that's slightly out there, it will warrant discovery.
Tin Soldier is made entirely from Semillon Gris - not much of that to go around in the Cape - and spends a week on its skins, Friuli-style. This is a white for red wine lovers, with some tannic backbone, herbal, savoury, mineral-edged fruit flavours and lovely pastry and kitchen spice rack notes.
