From Eben’s old vine series, this is 100% Tinta Barocca planted next door to a railway line. Tinta Barocca is an old Portuguese varieties, and there are now quite a few parcels situated throughout Swartland. With a lovely spicy nose, and real depth to the core of fruit, this is expressive and intriguing: a truly great wine. The 2013 received 95 points from Neal Martin, and this, to our mind, is punching at a similar level.
