"The 2013 Tin Soldier Semillon is actually a blend of Semillon Blanc and the rarely found Semillon Gris, from a 33-year-old vineyard, destemmed and fermented on the skins for ten weeks, racked from tank into barrel and then nine months in old French with regular bâtonnage. Deep straw in color, it has a distinctive bouquet with clear honey, lanolin, pithy fruit and a touch of marmalade. The palate is well balanced with a phenolic entry, slightly waxy in texture with a superb resinous finish.
