The 2002 G.V.B is a more-than-twenty year old wine that's looking great as it reaches peak maturity. It's smoky on the nose, with notes of pot pourri and a core of dark fruit. Meanwhile, on the palate there's silky tannins with no hint of dryness, and a lot of refined complexity. There's a density and depth here, and also excellent definition on the palate. This is very impressive, and will hold for another decade or more.
