The 2022 Monte Bello is bursting with pure black fruits and perfume, with red currant and raspberry notes coming through more on the palate. There's some rose petal and violet, along with wild sage, thyme and There's a lot of richness from the dry conditions of the vintage, but it retains Monte Bello's characteristic 'old world' structure, with fine, linear tannins and a harmonious, elegant feel. This year the blend is 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, 1% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot.
