2015 is the smallest vintage so far for Promontory. This has a delicate nose with a hint of spice, but also with lovely high-toned fruit. There’s real minerality on the nose, with notes of blood orange and plenty of iodine notes, too. It’s quite an extrovert Promontory at this stage, with staggering complexity. This would be hard to place blind: it’s not typically Californian, but is increasingly typically Promontory.
