The 2015 Syrah Matinee (75% Syrah and 25% Grenache from the Bien Nacido Vineyard) is a terrific introduction into the style of wines from Paul. Its cool-climate bouquet of black fruits, black olive and pepper is followed by a medium to full-bodied, supple, polished and moderately tannic Syrah that shows the house elegance and polish. Drink it over the coming 4-7 years.
