Ridge believe this is one of the most complex Monte Bellos ever produced. Consistently good weather through September and October enabled the team to pick at their leisure, finishing the harvest on November 5th. A barrel sample tasted in March showed layers of black fruit and minerals, which hid spicy new oak. The wine is by no means heavy and - with good energy and freshness and huge length - it should turn into a legend!
